Privacy Policy — GDG Exam Proctor

Last updated: 27 July 2026

GDG Exam Proctor is a Chrome extension used to monitor academic integrity during GDG-organized coding exams. This page describes what data it collects, why, and how it's handled.

What we collect

We do not collect passwords, payment information, or any data from browsing outside of an active, joined exam session.

Why we collect it

Solely to verify exam eligibility, detect and log rule violations during an exam, and produce a report for exam administrators afterward. Nothing here is used for advertising, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to running the exam.

How it's stored and who can see it

Data is stored in a password-protected database and is only ever visible to the administrator(s) running the specific exam you joined, through an authenticated admin dashboard. It is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose beyond administering that exam.

How long we keep it

Retained for 2 days record-keeping and dispute resolution, then deleted.

Your rights
